Hampton Beach is a relaxed spot west of Herne Bay with gentle slopes, rock pools and a children’s play area. A lovely spot for a peaceful beach day or scenic stroll.

Heading west from Herne Bay town centre you will find Hampton Beach and Hampton Pier. Herne Bay is a well-liked beach town with a traditional Victorian charm that dates back many years. It is renowned for being clean and well-maintained.

Hampton Beach is mostly shingle and is lined with picturesque beach huts. Fishing boats can regularly be seen in the waters. Hampton Pier Yacht Club, Herne Bay Amateur Rowing Club and Hampton Sea Cadet Corps can be found here. There are plenty of eateries and public facilities here including toilets and parks. Further east will take you to Studd Hill Beach.

With breathtaking coastline views, the seashore promenade is ideal for a leisurely stroll or bike ride. Beautifully designed gardens such as Memorial Park and Waltrop Gardens may be found along the route, and they are great for leisurely walks or picnics.
