This popular beach lies in the middle of the town. Dover Harbour Beach is a shingle beach which means it is covered with pebbles. It is nestled within the protective walls of Dover’s bustling port where ferries are frequently docked.

The renowned White Cliffs of Dover form a background for the beach. With stunning views of the English Channel, these chalk cliffs rise sharply above the shore. Several walking pathways go along the cliffs and on clear days you can even see out the French coast.

History
